  • large skillet with a lid
  • wooden spoon
  • metal tongs

Ingredients

  • 4 slices thick-cut bacon
  • ½ cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1 pound fresh green beans trimmed
  • 1 (14-ounce) can chicken broth

  • Bring the mixture to a boil. Cover, reduce the heat to medium-low, and simmer until the beans are tender, about 10 minutes.
