Mom's Homemade Holiday Party Mix (Doo Dads Recipe)

This knock-off Doo Dads recipe is perfect for holiday gift giving. It's so much better than store-bought Chex Mix and is easily customizable. Bet you can't stop at one handful!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Rice Chex
  • 3 cups Wheat Chex
  • 3 cups Corn Chex
  • 3 cups pretzel twists
  • 3 cups Cheez-Its
  • 1 (8-ounce) can salted cocktail peanuts
  • 2 cups raw whole pecans
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Lawry's seasoned salt
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 250°F. Combine the cereals, pretzels, Cheez-Its, peanuts, and pecans in a large roasting pan.
  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Pour the butter mixture over the ingredients in the roasting pan, and stir gently to coat.
  • Bake the party mix for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes, until the ingredients are lightly toasted. Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container or cellophane bags for gift giving.
